In his function as the Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld is not a man of many words. Still this man has produced some poems referring to his professional field, but nevertheless with a metaphysical character.

As a unique occasion a poet gave a recitation of the poems by “Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld” in ‘la Cave’ of Etablissement.

The Unknown
As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don’t know
We don’t know.
